Rope Parish Council
Rope Parish Council is made up of seven Councillors and a Clerk. It is the most local tier of local government and provides an interface between the residents of Rope and Cheshire East Borough Council. The two councils work together on planning matters. The Parish Council highlights local issues which need attention to the Borough. The Borough Councillor attends the Parish Council meetings so communication is good. The Parish Council also works with Wistaston and Willaston Parish councils on issues of common interest such as green gap policy.
The Parish Council raises its income by means of a precept which is collected as part of council tax. Parish Councillors are unpaid but the Clerk is paid.
The Council has no land or building assets.
The Council meets bi-monthly at The New Life Church, Fuller Drive, for the date of the next meeting please see the Diary section on the Home Page.
